The day started early, with Kyle teeing off in the first group of the tournament. This position brought its own pressure. The conditions were tough. Even though the sun was shining, the wind made every shot require precision and trust. Gusts reached up to 20 mph, turning routine swings into calculated risks. For a debut tournament, this was not a warm welcome. It was a test.
Kyle opened his round with a 48 on the front nine. This was a solid start given the conditions and the level of competition in the low handicap bracket. At that point in the round, he found himself among the top 10, holding his own against more experienced players. It was a clear sign: he belonged. Reflecting on the experience, Kyle shared, “Happy to get out there and see how I compare with others.”
As the wind continued and fatigue set in, the back nine required even more focus. Kyle fought through the conditions, staying focused and pushing through every hole. He finished the day with a 93, placing him T22 overall.

While this result was not what he had in mind, his performance told a deeper story—one of growth, determination, and untapped potential.
“Although it wasn't the performance I was looking for, the fact we were competitive and there was still so much room for improvement is a good sign that I can take into my next tournament.”
Kyle’s debut was not just a scorecard—it was a statement. Not perfection. Not instant dominance. But stepping into the arena, learning, adjusting, and coming back sharper. There’s more to unlock, and he knows it.
